““Max began his retirement at Highland Rim Horse Center in October 2020. Since day one he has received excellent care from Heather and Suzi. Maximum Security “Max” is an OTTB who I adopted in 2014. He is a quirky guy, full of personality. My whole goal was to give him a good life. With arthritis in his knee and hocks, not the best feet, persistent scratches with scar tissue, recurrent cellulitis, and not the easiest keeper, it became apparent that the best thing for him would be early retirement. He also has specific pasture needs. He does not do well in a changing herd of horses and needed a pasture just for him and 1 solid buddy. He needed to be in place that could easily handle his issues and provide him with the care he needed and deserved. I never thought I would find a place that would be able to provide him with better care than I would be able to keeping him with me. Heather has exceeded my expectations with Max’s care and I have no worries or concerns about his well being. Which is a huge relief for me! She communicates everything that comes up with him and handles all his needs with love, care, and professionalism.”
